Nice to see you! We are on a little break from Pro Juice for the moment as Nick is over in East Timor working on the nation's first ever homegrown feature film. Exciting stuff!

 

But in the mean time we have a really cool project in which we need your help. Estonian Electro Legends 'Science of Night' are about to release their first single since moving to Australia as refugees after the famous 2007 Cyber-attacks.

Kung Fu Energy Ball

Kung Fu Energy BallIn this tutorial from Pro Juice, Nick takes you through the steps of creating an energy ball with the Particle Filter in Adobe After Effects.

Using a layer of smoke, blurs, colour correction and some masking techniques, Nick shows you how to create the energy ball, give it a burning hot spot, animate it to fly towards the camera and reflect off the nearby fence.
